GRAND FORKS — When North Dakota goes into its legislative session in January, the North Dakota Student Association will be there to advocate for student voices and interests. Camryn Anderson, president of the NDSA, said the group has already heard some legislative priorities from some of the state s public institutions. Those are topics that are really important and specifically kind of why the NDSA exists, she said. Because we re supposed to be advocating for those student needs on at least the state level. The NDSA had its first general assembly meeting of the year on the University of North Dakota campus, where a key part of the meeting was getting the conversation started on legislative priorities. The NDSA reaches out to each of the 11 NDUS institutions to establish two to three priorities each has going into the session.
